Reed’s Motel has been glowing since 1957.
The current owners, Tami & John purchased the motel in 2005. It was a diamond in the rough, many updates were needed to bring her back to her original glory. Tami & John closed the motel for 6 months and completely renovated every inch of this lovely historic motel.
The original neon sign, a familiar sight on U.S. Highway 27, fell victim to Hurricane Charley in 2004. First on the renovation list was this famous sign. Tami & John felt she needed an update and she now graces U.S. 27 in a more modern bathing suit.
The hotel reopened for business in March 2006 (with 17 renovated rooms and a penthouse suite) just in time for the the 12 Hours of Sebring Races.
